Beavers and Kindness just go naturally together!

In working on our centennial crest we did not tell our Colony that we were watching them but we did tell parents and we were on the lookout ourselves.  These amazing young people gave us cause to be proud.  And these are just the times we caught them.

Little brother received a toy at Christmas that required a lot of assembly and no one seemed to have the time to put it together for him, so he was very sad. Seeing how upset his brother was this Beaver decided to stop playing with his own toys and assemble the Neo Shifter for him.

One day this Beaver was watching one of his favourite movies and noticed that one of our dogs wasn’t feeling well. He decided to stop watching the movie and spend the time hugging and talking to the dog to make him feel better.

There was one day at school one young student had gotten hurt and was crying.  This Beaver took it upon himself to take this child to the office and then stayed until he was sure the student was ok.

In playing a game this Beaver noticed another was a bit confused. Instead of just tagging the other and continuing to have fun himself, this Beaver made a point of whispering what to do to the other Beaver.  This meant that both could have fun and enjoy the game.

When a boy was upset about breaking the necklace he made for his Mom, this Beaver gave him the one he had made for his own Mom.

In a big snowstorm in January this Beaver along with Mom and Dad went and shoveled the walk and driveway for some friends because the dad had a cast on his leg

Being the oldest at his daycare provider he is very helpful and considerate with the younger children.  This Beaver likes to get things for the baby like his blanket and his drink.  He helps the baby get unstuck and open toys etc. when needed.  This helpful Beaver is always making sure everyone is OK.

During home renovations he has been there from the start.  Without being asked he'll grab his boots and go down to lend a helping hand.

At our Beaver potluck in January one of our leaders caught him in the act. His little sister was having problems with her shoes.  All she said to him was can you please help.  This Beaver immediately stopped to help (and even put his food down to do it)

This Beaver regularly looks after the dog without being asked.

When someone wasn’t feeling well this Beaver brought them a blanket, pillow and something to cuddle

When this Beaver’s little brother was sick with a high fever, he went and got him a cold cloth.

When this Beaver’s Mom was not feeling well he voluntarily ran and got things for her.

This Beaver not only asks to help with the housework.  He then does it!

While waiting for day surgery, this Beaver made a new friend.  While in recovery this Beaver was given some presents to open.  When he noticed his new friend didn’t have any gifts, this Beaver sent his Dad with a new hot wheel over to his friend so he had something to play with too.

This Beaver’s little brother forgot his hat and mitts in the daycare but didn’t realize until he was already in his seat.  He started to cry so this Beaver, being a great big brother, went back in to get hat and mitts.  He helped Dad out and made little brother’s day

One night this Beaver gave up his choice of movie to let his older brother choose.

This Beaver cleaned up the living room without being asked

This Beaver actually saw the toilet paper holders were empty and filled them himself.

When someone drops something this Beaver runs to pick it up.

When a family member was away this Beaver looked after their fish.

This Beaver donated 1% of his penny bank to Jump Rope for Heart.

This Beaver let his sister take the last Rice Krispie square.

When he saw garbage lying around outside this Beaver picked it up.

Because his grandmother lives alone this Beaver helps her with her housework and her outside work.

This Beaver regularly asks to help with things like snow removal and grass clean up.
